portal, students must first complete the payment of school fees, registration of

Related to the news, Samsung is switching all its sets to Tizen - A Linux-based operating system it already uses on some smart phones. Panasonic also will be releasing its first TV powered by Mozilla's Firefox OS in the spring.
Philips and Sharp will be adopting Google's new Android TV platform together with Sony.

Meet the "GLOBE" - World's Biggest Container Ship
The GLOBE has been declared world's largest container ship for 53 days till its off-loading of cargo. It will be docking in Britain for the first time of its maiden voyage.Owned by Shanghai-based China Shipping Container Lines and built in South Korea, the GLOBE is measured to be more than 400m (1,312ft) long, equivalent to 8 Olympic size swimming pools, 56.8m (186ft) wide and 73m (240ft) high. Its gross tonnage is 186,000, equivalent of 14,500 London buses according to Port of Felix Stowe where it arrived yestreday.
Laid end-to-end, the maximum number of container on board would stretch for 72miles, the distance between Felix Stowe & London/Birmingham & Manchester.
Its size is taped up to four football pitch in length with capacity cargo of 19,100. The GLOBE is no doubt the largest container ship of the moment.

Temperatures across much of the northern and eastern US are plunging to dangerously cold levels, National weather service have disclosed.
In Minnesota, high winds have been forecast to drop as low as -50F (-45C). This freeze have led to the closure and late running of schools from north to south from Dakotas and Alabama.
17 US states have been warned and they are;
Residents of this affected areas are advised to wear hats, scarves, thick jackets and gloves to reduce the health danger it might pose till it lasts.

The US is confident that North Korea was behind the Sony
Pictures cyber-attack last year FBI said.
FBI’s director James Comey said the group posted materials
from servers used exclusively by the North Koreans. The November attack on Sony
Pictures saw the leak of sensitive documents, and film “The Interview” briefly
shaved.
Cyber security experts have been skeptical about the bureau’s
assertion that North Korea was to blame.
Sony however cancelled the film’s release on temporal
grounds of what was described by US President Barrack Obama as “a mistake”,
Sony later released the film in the independent cinemas and had it also
distributed online.

The news means the Facebook-owned messaging app has added another 100 million users in the last four months, and 250 million since February 2014.
In a post announcing the news, WhatsApp CEO Jan Koum said that the cross-platform app, which launched back in 2009, is now used to send 30 billion messages daily.
“As humbled and excited as we are by these numbers and our continued growth, we’re even more excited to keep building a great product in 2015,” Koum wrote in the post.

The messaging app’s continued growth will certainly delight facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg, who led the move to acquire WhatsApp for a colossal $19 billion almost a year ago.

The retirement of 32-year-old Galaxy captain Landon Donovan, an all-time best top scorer for MLS, has paved the way for Gerrard to join the league and as one of its top earner on a worth of around four million pounds a year and about seventy-six thousand pounds weekly.
The MLS's season runs from March through to October. The full fixture list will be announced on Wednesday this week.
Also, Ex-Blues and current Manchester City's mid-fielder, Frank Lampard, 36, will join New York City in the summer after his short-term deal at Manchester City was extended until the end of the season.

Taylor Swift Narrowly Beat 'Frozen' To Have The Best-Selling Album of 2014
As if she hadn’t made this past year exciting enough, Taylor Swift saved one final nail biter until the end. On the last charting week of 2014, the now pop singer narrowly squeaked past the soundtrack to the Disney movie Frozen to secure the number one best-selling album of the year.Taylor’s 1989 ended up moving 3.66 million copies in 2014, which just barely beats the 3.53 million Frozen shifted. Up until the final sales frame of the year, Frozen had been ruling the year end charts for every single week of 2014. After a powerful holiday season, Taylor’s album was still able to move 326,000 copies in the week ending December 28th. Frozen on the other hand could only do 64,000. So while the sprint to the finish wasn’t a close race, the entire race.
What is perhaps even more impressive than Taylor’s last minute score is the time frame in which she accomplished it. 1989 was only released in late October, which means she has shifted more than three and a half million copies in less than three months. Frozen may have sold quite a few albums, but it was actually released back in November 2013, so it has had much more time in which to do so.
In terms of total sales, Frozen is still beating Taylor, though that won’t likely be true for much longer. The Disney soundtrack has moved a cumulative 3.86 million, but that number probably won’t rise too much more from here on out.
Conversely, 1989 is only on single number two, and if her previous albums are any indication of shelf life, we’re going to be hearing from Swift’s latest album for quite some time. In contrast, Frozen’s “Let It Go” has been working its way down the charts for some time, and subsequent releases haven’t performed quite as well.
1989 wasn’t just the best-selling album of the year, it also scored the biggest single week sales frame, though that race wasn’t nearly as close. In its first week of availability, her album blew everyone else away, selling 1.287 million copies. That means that over one third of the people who purchased her first foray into pure pop did so in just a seven day period.
This is the second time Billboard’s Woman of the Year has taken home the honor of having her album be the most-purchased of the year. She did so for the first time back in 2009, when her album Fearless achieved the same feat. That album also sold over 3 million copies in a calendar year, and it would also go on to win her the coveted Album of the Year at the Grammys.

Benson (Ghana) released
her debut album Gold Coast in 2003 to critical acclaim. She won a MOBO award
and disclosed that her passion for music is in her blood (her grandfather led
an accclaimed big band in the 50’s and 60’s in Ghana).
Rhian wrote
her first song at age 9. A beauty with brain, she was at Harvard when her
mother got seriously ill but left then to care for her mother. Rhian is gearing
up for her sophomore release.
2. Iman (Somalia) was born in Mogadishu, Trust Territory of Somalia.
She is the daughter of Marian and Mohamed Abdulmajid. Her father was a diplomat
and a former Somali ambassador to Saudi Arabia and her mother was a
gynecologist. She has four siblings: two brothers, Elias and Feisal, and two
younger sisters, Idil and Nadia.
Reviewing her
academic background; Iman attended high school in Egypt and later left for
Kenya where she studied political science at theUniversity of Nairobi. Iman is
Muslim and fluent in five languages: Somali, Arabic, Italian, French and
English.
1. Tiguida (Mali) is a 21 year old rising Model on the French Fashion scene.
She had done several photo shoots for Parisians magazines and numerous fashions
parades for well renowned names like Elit, Imane Ayissi and L’Oreal. The
limitations on black models in France have made her travel to Africa, Italy,
and the U.S.A for work.
