Croatia has elected first woman president, Kolinda
Grabar-Kitarovic, who won opposition and incumbent, Mr Ivo Josipovic by the narrowest of margins.
She secured a 50.5% of the vote with 99% of ballots counted,
while incumbent Ivo Josipovic was close behind on 49.5%. Mr Ivo already has
conceded defeat and congratulated winner, Kolinda.
The election was also described as a key test for the main
parties ahead of parliamentary elections expected to be held towards the end of
2015.
Hope other elections in 2015 be as free and fair as seen in
Croatia, especially in Nigeria as the hustle for the presidential seat seem too
much of a hot tea to be allowed to spill. Prayer remains that it does not turn
out worse as resulted in 2007 and as still seen uprising up to date.
