MOZAMBIQUE'S "PHOMBE" BEER POISONING



Mozambique, a country in Africa have been reported to be affected by a beer poisoning plague with the number of those killed as the result reaching 69 which a toddler was one, state radio reported.
The beer made from millet and known as “Phombe” traditionally served at functions in Mozambique’s Tete province was being speculated to have been contaminated with crocodile bile, a health official on the case disclosed.
The Mozambique government has declared three days national mourning in a decree published on Sunday.
It was however described as the worst of such tragedy to hit the country, with 39 people still hospitalized and receiving treatment.
